Just a quick retexture of some of the Ancient Model variants and some other dragons.
Oh sweet! Thanks, dude <3 Now we'll have even more sexy looking Ancient models!
Nice. Thank you!
Added Deathwing, pictures in links above. Download is coming, all files have been merged.
I can't see any pictures in the link it says to add you on Facebook o.o
More Orange Patch for
The link works now, but I will say I'm not fond of changing what a dragon looks like. I thought you were only going to be touching up the textures to look better but I guess not...
Thank you for your work!
You really give more charm to these dragons!
I'm curious, what kind of software do you use?
I'm using Photoshop with the Nvidia DDS Plugin. I also have a couple "Actions" for Photoshop I found online that "enhance" textures, but there's only so much they will do with RW's crappy/blurry textures. So, in the end, you "have" to modify the look of the dragons to make them truly look better and not just be a "noisier" version of the original.
Take Deathwing for example, the chest was just a flat orange, no scales. I had to steal Liquid Silver's chest texture to add scales to it. It took hours cutting that part of the texture out and making it fit.
Thank you very much for these explanations ! I think try on occasion!
No problem, here's a short video i made for Sovi, showing here the enhencement action and how to do transparency in a texture. Some dragons have transparency in their texture as the texture you see isn't covering the whole polygon in the model.
There is way too many textures in the game for just one person to do. So, I'm willing to help teach anyone who thinks they have the time/skill/drive to do some as it helps the community as a whole.
Great job with re-texturing.
Looks awesome. Thanks
If I want to try do it myself, how to get the textures to start with?
I'm at work right now, when I get home tonight, I'll make a quick video of how to extract the textures. I need to find the link again for the tool I'm using.
Post #7 by Ekey, you'll need to register to see the file. Ekey is the author/creator of the tool.
